Two-Node Pipe Elements

A pipe element represents a section between two connection points: a start node and an end node. Nodes can contain various components (elbows, tees, valves, supports, expansion joints, and others.).

PASS/START-PROF supports several element types:

Element Stress Analysis

PASS/START-PROF calculates equivalent stress at both end cross-sections 1 and 2 (Figure 1). The program does not calculate stress at intermediate cross-sections automatically. To analyze stress at specific intermediate locations, insert additional nodes at the required points along the element.
