Expansion Joint Classification per EN 14917
Expansion Joint - movable connection between two pipes. Expansion joint types:
Axial
Angular
Lateral
Universal Expansion Joint - allow linear displacement of the piping along and perpendicular to the axis of adjoining pipes, as well as rotation around the longitudinal and transverse axes
Custom Expansion Joint - an expansion joint with properties differing from the above
Pressure Balanced - the thrust force generated by internal pressure is countered in the expansion joints
Instead of standard expansion joints also the complex model can be used, that is created using rigid elements, universal expansion joints and internal restraints, but it require a lot of efforts to create it and results are almost the same as using standard elements
