Temperature cycles define thermal cycling effects on piping systems. Each cycle includes:
Stress amplitude variation (from temperature difference ΔTi)
Cycle frequency (number of occurrences) NCi within specified time period τi
Stress amplitude varies proportionally with temperature difference relative to the maximum cycle.
Click "Add" to create cycles; click "Delete" to remove. Double-click fields to edit temperature factor ratios or cycle frequencies. Press Tab or click dialog background to confirm changes. To modify cycle period, select the cell and click the dropdown arrow, then select from the list.

Maximum temperature, Тmax |
Highest design temperature across all piping elements |
Temperature factor, ki |
Ratio of current cycle temperature difference to maximum temperature difference ki = ΔTi / (Тmax - Тinstallation) Тinstallation - Ambient temperature Тmax - design temperature from pipe properties ΔTi - temperature difference ΔTi = (Тmax - Тinstallation) ∙ ki |
