Piping Integrity and Closed Circuits

Piping Integrity Check

PASS/START-PROF automatically verifies piping integrity when opening 3D view or modifying structure. A piping system is considered connected when all nodes are reachable from any starting point. 3D view displays only connected piping systems.

Disconnected elements prevent proper result specificationthey may display incorrectly or not at all. To correct, use the element list window to add missing connections.

See also "Working with Disconnected Pipelines".

Element Deletion

Deleting intermediate elements splits the structure into disconnected fragments, which is not permitted. In this case, fragment end nodes merge into a single node with the original number.

Circuit Closure Verification

PASS/START-PROF checks all closed circuits for proper polygon closure. Non-closed polygons split the last input node into two nodes, with one displayed in different color and larger font.

Creating Closed Circuits

To connect elements to existing nodes (creating closed circuits), specify the existing start or end node number during element creation.

Node Numbering Step Selection

To set node numbering increment, check the checkbox and enter step value.
