Certain operations (such as editing multiple element properties) require selecting multiple elements. Use these selection methods:

Select all underground: Selects all buried pipe elements.
Select all above-ground: Selects all above-ground pipe elements.
Select current segment: Selects the complete independent piping segment containing the selected element.
Invert selection: Toggles selection state - selected elements become deselected and vice versa.
1. Activate selection mode by clicking
the
toolbar
icon. Select the starting node (e.g.,
node 5)

2. Hold Shift and select the ending node (e.g., node 13). All elements between nodes 5 and 13 will be selected and highlighted in red.

3. To add branch elements, hold Ctrl+Shift and select the branch end node (e.g., node 18).

4. For individual element selection, hold Ctrl and select target elements (e.g., elements 4-7 and 7-3)

5. To select all piping elements, use Edit > Select All

6. To clear selection, use Edit > Clear Selection
Activate
selection mode using the
toolbar icon. Drag left to right to
select elements completely within the selection frame.

Drag right to left to select elements partially within the frame.

Use the selection filter to remove specific element types from the current selection: supports, expansion joints, tees, pipes, and other components.

This function selects all empty nodes without fittings (elbows, tees, reducers), grouping them by angle and diameter for batch fitting insertion. Particularly useful after importing models from third-party applications.
