Water-steam properties calculation using IAPWS-IF97 (WaterSteamPro library)
The program includes a module for a refined analysis of the thermophysical properties of water and steam: WaterSteamPro, created by Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University). This module allows a significant increase in accuracy of the analysis of water and steam networks.
Density and pressure analysis for saturated vapors is performed based on the International Formulation 1997 (IF-97) for thermodynamic water and steam properties proposed by the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam
(IAPWS) [1-2]. Viscosity analysis is performed using formulas provided by IAPWS–85 [3]. Density analysis error does not exceed 0.3% and viscosity analysis error does not exceed 3%.
Russian Gosstandard Certificate confirms that results obtained using WaterSteamPro correspond to those recommended by the Public service for standard reference data (GSSSD R-776-98) and the formulas provided by IF-97 IAPWS.
